IFTTT - Applets to assist your daily life

So, What is IFTTT?

IFTTT is an online automation tool that will enable you to connect 2 services so that, when something happens with one service,  an action is automatically applied on the other service. This connection is made in the form of an "applet". Multiple "applets" can work together to make your daily digital life run smoothly.

The list of services that IFTTT can connect to is vast. But the latest list can be found Here

What can IFTTT do?

IFTTT can connect a variety of internet-connected devices and digital services together via a simple concept of "If This Then That" All of this is done in an "applet" which simply defines that when this happens then do that. For example, when you change your profile picture on Facebook your profile picture on Twitter is also changed (Applet).

Within IFTTT you can fret your own Applets by connecting your digital services and applicants and applying your own rules or you can select from the thousands of previously created applets, adapting them to your particular needs. There are no limits to the number of Applets you can have running to simplify your digital life. You can connect everything from your social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) to your WiFi coffee maker

Getting Started with IFTTT

IFTTT can be used either using the IFTTT website or the mobile apps. To start using it, sign up using your E-mail address and set up your ‘Services’. The services are the basic building blocks of IFTTT.  When you find Services you like, click on them and “Turn On” the Services. A new pop-up window will appear asking you to authorize the IFTTT connection. Once you authorize the Service you will be able to connect it within IFTTT to other services to create your own "Applet", you’ll also be able to see a selection of "Applets" (Triggers + Actions) that have been already created.
