Open up the IFTTT Applet Creator. Then click "+ this" to add the service that will be the "trigger" for your Applet

Select the Service you wish to act as the "trigger" for this example the location of an Andriod phone is used

Select the "trigger" you would like to use for the Applet. In this example "You enter an area" is used.

Define the area to be used as the "trigger" location. You can increase and decrease the area covered with the + and - controls.

Next, you will need to define the service where the "action" occurs. Click on "+ that" to add the service.

Add the service you would like the action to take place on. For this example the action will take place on the Email service.

Choose the action you would like to happen once the applet has been triggered to run. In this case "Send me an Email"

You can modify parts of the action to suit your needs. Adding in an "Ingredient" allows you to add parameters to the email such as the Google Maps URL.

Here, you can review the applet and changes its name. You can also have IFTTT send you a notifcation if the applet is run.

The final step, from here you can select to have the Applet turned on and you can see a final review of the services used. Congradulations! you have created an applet..... You could also modify this applet to turn your television on to your favorite channel when you get home.
